Fair Isle Sweaters

Fair Isle is a Scottish knitting technique known for using a palette of colors. Although the term now applies to sweaters made as far away from Scotland as one can imagine, the look is more or less the same: ski bunny meets Highlands hiker. Adorable.

The key to wearing this trend and not looking like a mountain dweller or someone’s great-grandmother is simple: accessorize. Another good tip: follow Kenzo’s lead and mix your Fair Isle with other prints and tall boots, or opt for a Fair Isle mini dress:
